Airbnb close to securing private cash that would value firm at $10bn
The online room-rental service Airbnb is reportedly close to securing a new round of funding that would value the company at $10bn - making it worth more than several leading hotel chains. The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday that the San Francisco-based company is in advanced talks to raise between $400m and $500m with private-equity firm TPG.
